Gunfire/ Misfire 76Gunfire 76 is the side-side project of Wednesday 13 frontman Wednesday 13. And their first album, Casualties and Tragedies has recently been released. I was lucky enough to come across a copy and sparing no time what-so-ever to digest the music decided to post my opinion of the album here.
And it's a resounding meh, neither good nor bad. There doesn't appear to be a hook which pulls you in and inspires you to keep listening but it isn't dire enough to just dismiss entirely. Standout tracks include Kill The Hero, Los Angel-Less and One More Reason to Hate You (which to some will sound very much like Wednesday 13 song - Bad Things).
The simplest way to describe the album is to direct your attention toward the video game Guitar Hero III. The sound is very much Wednesday 13 singing over the first 8 or so songs on the game. So a "classic" rock groove with his signature voice. Make of this what you will.
Be prepared for more minimal album reviews as I have time to kill and a knack for killing time.
